Continuing R4L New Testament Youth Outreach

IBS continues our R4L work in South Africa. We are expanding use of the resource in Uganda and Kenya (Africa) and Romania and Moldova (Southeastern Europe).

Our Response in South Africa

IBS continues our South Africa R4L program following the model established in 2004. We are preparing to distribute more than 131,000 R4L New Testaments to youth through ministry organizations that connect with youth who are at risk for HIV infection. We expect these materials will influence more than 650,000 South African youth.

Our cost to print and distribute each R4L New Testament is $2.50.

Our Response in Kenya

IBS is starting R4L programs at schools in Uganda and Kenya. We are preparing to distribute more than 10,000 R4L New Testaments to students in Kenya. Many of these youth are either currently risking HIV infection or may likely do so in the near future. We estimate that at least 50 percent of the youth in the schools are sexually active.

Additionally, IBS has entered into an alliance with World Relief to provide 20,000 Reach 4 Life New Testaments to youth in Kenya.
